In this seminar we looked at a variety of typographers, the difference between typographers and type designers.
"Type designers - Create new type faces".
"Typographers - Use type to portray a message".
The whole meaning of typography is to communicate a message.
Font is what we use, a typeface is what we see

I found this lecture really educational, learning about type in many different forms. How type first came about, Gothic type. The variation of the artists we look at allowed me to thrive more within this subject. This came from being shown artist such as Johannes Gutenberg, Wim Crouwel and Barry Deck.
