This is our first workshop session, we were told to go out to 3 spots within Huddersfield and draw the given categories: line drawings, perspectic, people, type in context and reflections.
This is a drawing of the Wilkos sign in town. The media I used was a pencil, a 0.2 mm and a red to add colour content to the sketch. With this sketch I believe I could have not rushed it and took my time with the sketch to get a more accurate drawing of the Wilkos sign.
My second drawing we had moved onto the next location, this drawing was off a man sat down on a wall bench, but I did not want to draw the man on his own, so i added surroundings into the drawing, the entire wall bench, the bin beside him and the tree to the left in the foreground.
In this drawing is used a teal pencil and a stick of charcoal. I used the teal pencil as it was thicker than the graphite pencil I had myself. However I did use the graphite pencil I had to draw out the man to get the finer details of the man. I used the charcoal stick for the shading, because the light was coming from the other side of the man, it meant that the shading was all on the side I was looking at.
From this I gained more drawing experience and it was really beneficial to me more than I expected it would be. Once I got told my task I really did not want to go out in public a draw, but I really enjoyed drawing outdoors.
