Workshop : book animation

harry potter book animation from Mitch Jones on Vimeo.

This is work shop week 2, this week was setting up the blog, Vimeo account, and intro to after effects.
Firstly, we were shown how to set up our blog, this was a long and boring process, we was given strict layout settings in which we had to stick too, but we were allowed to have any colour scheme we want or the name of the blog, but it had to be something with our name on it. We also had to have our name, course and uni on the blog page, with a little bit of info about the blog. Then we set up the labels to organise all our work.
We then set up the Vimeo account which took forever, but once we got the account set up we moved on starting the slides for the 10 second animation about a book we have read, I decided to do the Harry Potter saga.
These are the main slides throughout the 10 seconds, the first slide is the only slide that stays the same for the time it is shown, all the other slide change throughout the time its shown for. E.g. The Harry Potter slide from the start to the end spells out Harry Potter, like it is being typed as you watch the animation.

I really enjoyed this workshop session as I was able to us multiple softwares to create the entire slides for the animation. This session helped me learn new skills and techniques in softwares I am very comfortable with using already.
