I began by creating a square document with a grid.
The dimensions and settings of the document consist of:
- 360px (pixels) square
- No margins
- Guides - 12 x 12 rows and columns
- No gutters
- Gridline every 30px with subdivisions per row/column
- Body text - 12pt
- Baseline - 6pt
- The baseline number should relate to the body text size - either exactly the same or as a factor of the body text size.
We then inserted the album we was going to be copying, so we could get the exact recreation of what we wanted to recreate. The colours, the lay out, shapes. We then inserted the shapes using the circle tool, holding down shift to get a perfect circle. We would align these as a group.
We then added in the mp4 file using the interactive mode, this was so we could change a few settings, to allow the mp4 to work, by just moving the curser over the mp4 once in PDF.
I really enjoyed this indesign session as a i learnt and gain a lot more skills to do with indesign. However, I don't think it will be a style of work I would want to go into more detail about.
